Hey there 👋🏼
I don’t know about you, but my LinkedIn has been crazy with job changes and promotions!
If you are embarking on a new adventure by changing jobs or taking more responsibility, I congratulate you! It has been another crazy year and it is great to see you advance your career!
No doubt that this will be a significant change in your life!
The remaining 9 months will be of consolidation of this change.
In one word? Exciting!!! 🤩
For those who are now starting your Leadership journey, welcome and hang on because "it’s going to be a bumpy ride"!
I'm sure you have a ton of emotions going around, from the impostor syndrome knocking on the door through self-doubt to the adrenaline rush of running your first 1:1 or your first presentation in front of the team.
As scary as this journey gets, it's vital to place your feet firmly into the ground and go back to basics, to what you can control.
In my mind, what I can control is my day, goals and priorities.
Starting the day with clear priorities will increase significantly the probability of reaching the end with my most important topics taken care of.
A couple of years ago, I heard about different ways to tackle your day. Having a list of items to focus on is fundamental, but one small trick makes a massive difference: being clear about your top 3 priorities.
So let me run you through the way I attack my days:
Have a good look at my calendar and understand what's planned for today and for tomorrow;
See if every meeting is necessary - cancel the ones that aren’t vital;
Make sure I have focus time throughout the day;
Create a list of things I want/need to accomplish today;
Write down my top 3 items that I have to accomplish today;
Using a separate calendar to block out the necessary slots to achieve all my priorities and the remaining tasks;
Every 30 minutes, update my calendar with what really happened and keep adjusting my day to go in the direction of achieving my priorities;
At the end of the day review what I accomplished and reflect on what goals I missed and why?
💡 The overall idea is simple: learn and adapt. 💡
For me, bringing this thought into my daily life helps me overcome the eventual frustrations of not being able to achieve what I want on a single day and approach tomorrow with a kick-ass frame of mind.
I understand why I couldn't accomplish everything I set out to, adjust my approach and try again. There is no failure, just learning experiences (sometimes a lot of learning experiences...).
Now here is my ask, if you know anyone who’s just joining the Leadership path, share this newsletter with them and invite them to subscribe on the link below.

Have a great and productive April!
Until next month!
📚 What I’ve been reading
Well I have to be honest, this month hasn't been great in terms of reading.
I do have an incredible book I'm going to start called "High Performance Habits" by Brendon Burchard.
From what I read online about it, I am 100% sure that this is going to be one of those books I'm going to highlight like crazy so I decided to buy the physical version. Have to say that I'm looking forward to it.
If you want to check out the book get it here:

📣 Top Quote of the Month
To learn to succeed, you must first learn to fail.
Michael Jordan
I think this is a great advice for anyone who's starting out a brand new adventure.
Allowing yourself to try, to fail, to learn, to adapt and try again, you're setting yourself up for success, for a more resilient you.
So embrace the unknown and "just keep swimming".
